Gorilla Grow Tent Review for 2021

Deciding on purchasing a grow tent for an indoor is hard for growers. It's a challenge to know the right grow tent to use since there are so many sizes and features to choose from. In this study, we explore some of the more successful tent-making companies — the Gorilla Grow Tents. When you finish reading the Gorilla Grow Tent summary, you should understand that they sell three styles of tents:

  • The GGT Line – This is the standard Gorilla grow tent line with all of the bells and whistles.

  • The Lite Line – These tents are much more affordable but weigh less than the cloth ones. density for cost and weight.

The Shorty Line – shorter. They are exactly the same as the GGT line except for size.

generally speaking, the tents have the same features and configuration

I own a GGT Gorilla Grow tent 2' x 4' x 6' x 11", and I fucking love it. I have never used this tent with Gorilla Taking into account that the appearance, workmanship, and warranty, I can confidently recommend these tents.

Let's move on to the analysis

, shall we? The following item is a detailed list of the various Gorilla Grow Tent (GGT) components. Should you wish, you look up "Gorilla Grow Tent (GGT) Components" in the Gorilla Tent (GGT) table of contents, and follow the link given. However, if you haven't read that far, please read on.

Gorilla Grow Tent Features

Before examining each particular line of Gorilla Grow tents, let's have a look at their approach to tent-growing. If you like or hate one feature, it's probably the same in all of their tents. Next to the measurements of your tent, the most significant difference would be in the purchase decision will be certain features.

Gorilla Grow tent differs from the competition

Height Extension Kit

The cost of a 2" extension piece from Gorilla is $10.

On average, Gorilla grow tent are taller than other brands of tents. Formal apart from the Gorilla line (below), Gorilla tents are all over 6 feet long.

Another special characteristic of Gorilla grow tent is their height extension packages. The tents have 1' and 2 extension packs, meaning that they can reach up to 8 feet, 11 inches, or more in height (which is more than enough for even the most ambitious indoor growers). The inclusion of the GGT line makes it a better deal.

Grow tent gorilla Lite Line Height

The standard GGT line starts at 6′ 11″ in height, and the Lite Line starts a bit shorter at 6′ 7″. However, it’s still possible to add the 1′ height extension kit to all tents in the Lite Line as well, although it is sold separately instead of included with the tent-like the GGT line.

Grow tent gorilla Shorty Line Height

This is the Gorilla line, as the name implies, is built for people who don't have any additional expanding room to take advantage of. If you don't have a lot of vertical space to work with, the Gorillap stands at 4'11".

Height Compared to Other Grow Tents

The majority of tents of that size have a height of 6 feet or taller.0 to 6.2 feet. That is if you don't need anything more than that, the height of Gorilla tents is insignificant. I like getting the extra height because I'm 6 foot 3 inches tall, so being able to stand up in my tent is completely necessary.

Gorilla Grow Tent Fabric Thickness

Gorilla features the Gor-1680D with 1680D fabric as well as the normal. for the Denier, which is the industry standard calculation for fabric density According to the Gorilla, their 1680D material is 3-9 times denser than other grow tents on the market.

But as a farmer, what does this mean for you? While there are several different advantages, here are a few of note:

1. Less light penetration

2. Less noise pollution

3. More durability

Gorilla Grow tent Lite Line Fabric Density

At 210 denier (denier being the basic filament weight in grammage), the Lite Line is much lighter. That's much less impressive than the other Gorilla tents: According to Gorilla, their PVE textile binding technique blends the translucent interior with the external canvas in a more efficient way than other tents on the market. So the overall quality of the grow tents goes up, and so do the densities of competing with ours.

Fabric Density Compared to Other Tents

Grow tents for most consumers peak at around 600D, with a low end of around 190-200D. So you might be thinking, “Wouldn't 200D be heavier than 600D?” Actually, you'd be correct but for the fact that other manufacturers do not usually use the binding form used by Gorilla. Because of this, they tear more easily, leak light, or don't even grow in an airtight container.

When developing hydropically,

you have to be mindful of safety issues. Most of my worries are about spills resulting in stains, messes, and equipment failures.

the Velcro on the tent poles is standard on all gorillas. When the pool rises, even the biggest spills must be contained within the confines of the pool.

Other features include blocking infrared and cooling your tent heat with a roof that protects you from the external environment.

The frame is more secure due to the interlocking metal posts, so you won't fall and break your lighting fixtures.

Safety Compared to Other Grow Tents

Others don't do all that much to cool the ground surfaces, and the effect is extremely high surface temperature. This thread and one-line stitching contribute to a light odorless and water-stained environment. With thin frames, you will still be concerned about caving in.

Cleanliness

This isn’t a huge issue for most grow tents, but it’s a nice plus that Gorilla offers. All of their tents are resistant to most bugs and diseases. They have micro-mesh pre-filters and double-lined ducting, both of which help prevent any nasty pests or mold from getting into your grow.

Cleanliness Compared to Other Tents

Some grow tents do, but not all, feature a pre-filter. If the pre-filters are effective, it's likely that pests will go through them. Duct stitching is more sporadic, suggesting that they are prone to leaking air Mold and other harmful organisms will seep into the structure when it is broken.

Temperature Control

Gorilla tents don't just make more space for development. Incidentally, the increased height lowers the internal temperature by 10°F. Additionally, if you if you're rising in a region that fluctuates in temperature, the 1680D fabric can provide greater insulation.

While the Lite Line is just a bit longer, it is adequate to ventilate the tent's warm air.

Temperature Control Compared to Other Grow Tents

Typically, most grow tents are 6 feet or shorter, keeping the field warm. Additionally, the fabric of their tents tends to have a tendency to expand and contract at different rates, which may mean they are more susceptible to temperature changes.

Build Quality

An extreme close-up of the interlacing steel framework This tree is strong and stable!

Gorilla tents are the best in the industry when it comes to construction efficiency. For starters, let's talk about the container. Any tentpole interlocks with other metal rods, assuring the whole structure's firmness and sturdiness. They interlock at any stage.

It is exposed to a lot of stress, wear and tear, as it has double-needle constructions. Ports for plumbing and electrical fixtures are constructed in a particular way to fit these tents, rather than produced by low-quality Chinese copy-makers.

Build Quality Compared to Other Grow Tents

In other lower-end tents, the consistency of the structure is of greatest concern. If you've ever owned or used one of these tents, you will know that detaching and destroying zipper teeth and tearing corners are common issues. If the frames are made out of either plastic or a lighter metal, they can become dislodged, and if they are, there are no locking mechanisms inside to hold them in place. Thus, this makes the whole structure more prone to breakage, and this is the last thing you want to happen when you're trying to hang heavy lights.

Aside from the obvious problems like the layout of doors, window ports, poorly designed or inappropriately placed flood-proofing, and fire-resistant construction, tent designs may be aggravating for gardeners as well.

Ease of Assembly and Use

Good position of pouches for fast retrieval.

The most annoying aspect of using a grow tent is the initial setup. Gorillas know that the importance of simple construction and make their tents accordingly

  • Velcro pieces on the doors allow you to put the doors together without help

  • the roof section can be conveniently placed on top of the frame

  • The zippers are large and easy to thread and wind around the corners of the tent

On top of that, Gorilla tents are very easy to use:

  • most 2-view windows allow you to inspect your garden without disturbing the plants

  • The doors open all the way, enabling you to access every part of the machine with a simple turn of a knob or a push of a button.

  • Using the extra height makes standing in the tents more comfortable for most people

  • the tent-size tent is ideal for many out-of-the-the-box hydroponic systems

Ease of Assembly and Use Compared to Other Grow Tents

When I first began to mount the first grow tents, it was challenging to get the canvas around the frame. Lower-end tents cut costs by having the tents that are often damaged due to their tightness during assembly.

These tents are also difficult to use since I am 6'3". Additionally, there are also no pouches or belts that assist in keeping doors, ports, or ducts open or closed, nor velcro patches to secure doors, ports, or ducts in place.

Gorilla Grow Tents Overall Design

Overall

Gorilla tents are undeniably the finest. Certainly, you must pay for that, since these tents are not inexpensive. However, if you want to do so, you have no other choice.

Just as another example, in this example, the ducting ports on Gorilla tents are 10″ long and completely cinched, which allows for almost any form of grow room ventilation. All of the little things, including the durable webbing in commonly used areas, and additional stitching throughout, is representative of how Gorilla tents are made.

Gorilla grow tents Overall Design Compared to Other Grow Tents

Other ventilated grow tents have poorly positioned or mid-sized ports, which makes it difficult to achieve sufficient ventilation. The existence of pre-or mesh-based macro screens or microscopes allows for pre-filters or pre-micro screens to be disregarded. Your tent's poles are too thin to do their job properly. Unfortunately, the sizes do not allow you to walk freely around your grow area once you have the setup in place. The lower the altitudes that you are at, the hotter the air gets, and the less it can produce.
